UTAX (UK) Ltd ceases trading on 31 May 2026. Temple Knight supplies, services, and supports UTAX hardware across London and up to Birmingham — and we’re already helping businesses plan their transition before the rush hits.
On 30 April 2026, UTAX (UK) Ltd confirmed it will cease trading on 31 May 2026. The UK customer base transfers to Kyocera Document Solutions (UK) Ltd — the manufacturer that has always built UTAX hardware.
We’re taking on new clients now — before the migration window gets busy. One conversation is all it takes to understand your options and get ahead of the queue.
We cover London, the Home Counties, and up to Birmingham. Our engineers are UTAX-trained — not generalists handed a manual.
You have three paths. Here’s an honest breakdown of each. For most businesses, getting ahead of the queue is the lowest-risk move.
Lowest effort, least control. You’ll be migrated eventually — on their timeline, in their queue, with whoever they assign.
We audit your current UTAX fleet, identify what you need going forward, and manage the changeover around your business — not the wider migration schedule. One point of contact for hardware, service, and supplies from day one.
Some businesses will take the opportunity to reassess. If that’s you, we can help with that conversation too — honestly, without pushing hardware you don’t need.
Sales, repairs, leasing, toner, consumables. Same team, same number, no runaround.
If you need additional UTAX units before 31 May, the window is closing — final in-stock orders ship by 20 May 2026. After that, equivalent Kyocera hardware takes over.
Either way, we’ll tell you what fits your setup and what it costs. No upsell. No hardware you don’t need. We supply the full range: compact desktop units through to high-volume production systems. Businesses from the City to Coventry come to us for straightforward advice and fast delivery.
Your UTAX hardware keeps running after the closure — but you’ll need an accredited engineer when something goes wrong. We know UTAX specifically: the common failure points, the firmware quirks, the parts that need replacing versus the ones that just need attention.
Fast response. Genuine parts. Fixed properly.
If the closure is the trigger to upgrade your hardware, leasing keeps capital expenditure off the table. Fixed monthly payments, flexible terms, upgrade options built in.
We handle the paperwork. You get a working machine on Monday. Suitable for single units through to full fleet replacements across multiple sites.
Kyocera has confirmed it will continue supplying UTAX consumables during the migration period — but as the closure date passes and the customer base migrates, legacy UTAX stock will become harder to source.
We hold a wide range of genuine UTAX consumables and can set up regular supply schedules so you’re not caught short mid-transition.
Third-party toner looks cheap until it damages a drum or voids a service agreement. We supply genuine UTAX toner for the full range — correct for your model, right first time.
Available for one-off orders or on a managed replenishment basis. Worth sorting before the migration window gets busy.
Not a generalist dealer who happens to stock the brand. We know this hardware.
London up to Birmingham. Our engineers, not subcontractors.
Sales, repairs, consumables. Same team. Same number. Always.

When your printer's down, you need a response, not a ticket and a three-day wait.
The UTAX closure affects every UK customer at once. Engineer capacity, consumables stock, and transition support will all come under pressure as May approaches.
